Marina Diamandis a.k.a “Marina & The Diamonds” is a 24 year old indie-pop singer from Wales. I just got her album titled “The Family Jewel” last week and I instantly fell in love with her voice & music style. I love every track on it, they’re all fun to listen and catchy. Her voice is bold and edgy, and she has a wide tonal range too. I think she sounds more like a combination between Katy Perry, Charlotte Church, The Ting Tings… Err that’s what I think. I love how she vocalizing the lyrics on most the tracks, very lively, passionate. Lyrics are so real as what a mid-20 young woman would shout to the world.
The lyrics above is from one of my favorite tracks on the album, titled “Oh No!”. Somehow I feel this song describes my current pace of living: I’m ambitious and I want everything done fast and perfect. :D
